At our business, we believe in innovation—but we also value tradition. That’s why we’ve made the decision to accept Goldbacks as a form of payment for our services. If you haven’t heard of them before, you’re not alone. Goldbacks are one of the most unique and beautiful forms of currency in circulation today, and they’re making waves in the world of alternative economics. Here’s why.
What Are Goldbacks?
Goldbacks are a voluntary local currency made with real gold. Each Goldback note contains a precise, small amount of 24-karat gold layered into a flexible, spendable bill. They come in denominations like 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50, with the number representing the amount of gold inside. For example, a 1 Goldback contains 1/1,000th of an ounce of gold.
Unlike paper dollars, Goldbacks are backed by physical precious metal and are designed to retain long-term value. They’re beautiful to look at, tough enough to carry in your wallet, and ideal for small-scale, everyday transactions.

Why We’re On Board
We chose to accept Goldbacks for a few key reasons:
- Support for Sound Money
We believe in the principle of sound money—value that doesn’t disappear with inflation. Gold has been a trusted store of value for thousands of years, and Goldbacks offer a way to use gold in everyday transactions. - Community Empowerment
Goldbacks are a grassroots movement. They’re used in local economies across several U.S. states, and by accepting them, we’re helping build a parallel system that supports freedom, privacy, and financial resilience. - Customer Choice
Some of our customers already use Goldbacks and prefer to do business with businesses that accept them. We want to give our customers more payment options that reflect their values. - A Statement of Principles
Accepting Goldbacks is about more than money—it’s about values. It shows that we support alternative systems that respect individual liberty, decentralization, and economic sovereignty.
How It Works
When paying with Goldbacks, the exchange rate is determined by the current market value of gold, which fluctuates. We post our accepted Goldback rate at the time of transaction, and you can always ask us in advance for a quote based on your preferred method of payment.
